Selabbian roses were a type of flower[1] originating from the Selab system[1][2] in the Inner Rim Territories.[3] The flowers were cultivated on the Starlight Beacon space station in the High Republic Era. During the Republic Fair[1] in 231 BBY,[4] a display of the roses was brought to the Republic Gardens on the Outer Rim planet Valo for an exhibition. At the fair, Jedi archivist OrbaLin gave an in-depth monologue about the gardens' Selabbian roses to Galactic Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh and her group of fair visitors. Jedi Master Stellan Gios observed his Jedi colleague as he talked, distracted by a heavy feeling in the Force.[1]

Behind the scenes

Selabbian roses appeared in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[5]
