The Sanej system was located in the Inner Rim Territories in the galaxy. The system was located in grid square N-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

The Sanej system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the appendix Star Systems of the Galaxy, published on the StarWars.com website on June 24, 2025,[1] as part of Star Wars Galaxy Map.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the name "Sanej" was associated with the Sanej Temple, a Jedi temple first mentioned in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[3]
