- "He's challenging because he's smart as a whip-snake, savvy as a sail-bird."
- ―Shirene describes Temmin Wexley
A sail-bird was a type of bird considered to be characteristically savvy.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] the New Republic pilot Norra Wexley and her sister-in-law, Shirene, discussed the challenges of raising Wexley's son, Temmin Wexley, while on the planet Akiva. During the conversation, Shirene compared Temmin's savviness to that of a sail-bird and his intelligence to that of a whip-snake.[1]
Behind the scenes
A sail-bird was mentioned in the 2015 novel Aftermath, which was written by Chuck Wendig as the first installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
