SBI Director was a title held by the leader of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence within the Galactic Senate's Intelligence Oversight Committee of the Galactic Republic. During the time of the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems,[1] which lasted from 22 BBY to 19 BBY,[2] Armand Isard served as the Bureau's director and engaged in classified, closed-door briefings with the oversight committee.[1]

Behind the scenes

SBI Director was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1] Originating in the Star Wars Legends continuity, the title Director of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence first appeared in HoloNet News Vol. 531 50, an issue of the representation of the in-universe HoloNet News[3] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens[4] and published on April 4, 2002.[5]
