The S-1 Vamblade was a type of vamblade produced by Prax Arms. It possessed a magnetic locking mechanism that enabled the extension or retraction of a long blade via the flick of a user's wrist. When the blade is retracted, a heavy coat or similar garb could easily conceal the vambrace it was held in, making it a favored weapon by assassins. The cost of the S-1 Vamblade was 500 credits.[1]

Behind the scenes

The S-1 Vamblade was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Gadgets and Gear, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] The weapon was originally mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Dangerous Covenants, a 2014 supplement to the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying series published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2]
