- "Joined the Mon Cal opera players but injured a fin during performance of 'The Neka-Chilse'"
- ―a note in the Smuggler's Guide
Rufork Tamson, nicknamed "Sharp Tooth", was a Karkarodon stunt racer who became a member of the criminal Gullet Gang. The Galactic Empire issued an alert in the Terrabe sector warning commerical ship captains of the gang's activity in the region and included an image of Tamson in the communique. The gang had split up[1] by 1 BBY,[2] with Tamson going on to join the Mon Cal opera before injuring a fin during a performance of "The Neka-Chisler."[1]
Former Gullet Gang member Cycyed Ock later considered reuniting the gang to raid a treasure vault on the planet Iskalon, but ruled out Tamson due to the injury and ultimately chose to recruit a new gang instead. While planning, Ock added the Imperial alert showing Tamson to the book known as the Smuggler's Guide. The Karkarodon had blue and white skin and black eyes. They wore white and blue armor with the icon of the Confederacy of Independent Systems on the front in the image used in the Imperial alert. Tamson shared a surname with[1] Riff Tamson, a Karkarodon member of the Confederacy.[3]
Behind the scenes
Rufork Tamson was first mentioned in the 2018 canon reference book Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, which was written by Daniel Wallace and included an illustration of the character by Studio Hive.[1]
