Rogwa Wodrata was a female Holwuff who represented her home[1] planet[3] Alliga in the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1] In 22 BBY,[4] Wodrata paticipated at the summit on the planet Geonosis held by the Separatist leader Count Dooku, sitting between Nute Gunray and Po Nudo.[2] She continued to represent Alliga during the Clone Wars[1] that erupted shortly afterwards. Wodrata had brown fur and black eyes.[2]
Behind the scenes
Rogwa Wodrata was created to replace the character Toonbuck Toora in the 2002 film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[5][6] Toora was originally present during filming of the Separatist council scene,[6][5] She was practical alien originally built for the Senate scenes in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, was present during filming of Attack of the Clones[6] but during post-production, director George Lucas was unsatisfied with the lack of expression or menace in her mask and decided to replace her with Wodrata.[7][5][6][8] According to the website Avleyman the character was played by Hilton Howson.[9] Rogwa's head, nicknamed 'Gatorhead' by Industrial Light & Magic was a retooled alien Jedi design that was composited over Toonbuck Toora.[6][5] In Star Wars Insider 101, Leland Chee stated that there had been some suggestion about the Toonbuck Toora seen on Geonosis may have actually been a Shi'ido shapeshifter, part of a deceptive scheme to align Sy Myrth with the Confederacy, but ultimately fails leaving the planet faithful to the republic.[8]
