Rocket stormtroopers were equipped with missile launchers such as the or Smart Rockets. They were trained to eliminate insurgent activity, diminish uprisings and quell dissent, providing ground support. Though effective, their weapons required them to reload after each shot, leaving them vulnerable.[2] Some rocket stormtrooper armor's right shoulder plate featured a red symbol.[1]

In 14 BBY,[7] five years into the Jedi Purge, rocket stormtroopers were stationed on Zeffo, the Imperial Refinery on Kashyyyk, Ilum, and the Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur, where they encountered and were defeated by the Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis.[2] Rocket stormtroopers active on the planet Lothal engaged the Spectres[1] in 4 BBY.[8]

As of 5 ABY,[7] in the time following the devastating Battle of Endor, demolition troopers were stationed on Chinook Station on the planet Bespin. They were involved in a skirmish there against members of Inferno Squad. Demolition troopers also participated in the climactic Battle of Jakku, which marked the final destruction of the Empire.[4]

  8. Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions features Ezra Bridger's lightsaber, which was constructed during "Path of the Jedi," which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places in 4 BBY. By its end, the game also allows the Spectres to interact with Ahsoka Tano, whom they only meet face-to-face in the Star Wars Rebels Season One finale "Fire Across the Galaxy," which also occurs in 4 BBY according to Galactic Atlas. There is a gap before the Spectres return to Lothal in Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal, itself set in 4 BBY according to Galactic Atlas and after "Fire Across the Galaxy," so the events on Lothal seen in the game must end at some point between the Spectres meeting Tano and before their gap established in The Siege of Lothal. Therefore, Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions must occur in 4 BBY.
