The Rethel were a sentient species rumored to have existed on a planet[1] in the Far Xandil sector,[2] within the Trailing Sectors portion of[3] the Mid Rim.[2]
It was rumored that the Rethel had built a city on the planet, at one time long before 2 ABY. The ruins of the city emanated a sensor disruption field known as Rethel Point. However, the ruins were so old, with so little evidence left behind by the builders, that the idea that their name had somehow survived was hard to believe.[1]
