In 2 BBY,^[3] the Spectres embarked on a mission to rescue the argora from the Galactic Empire and return the sacred bird to the Xendekians. The bird was being transferred to Emperor Palpatine's personal zoo. The rebels infiltrated a cargo ship and freed the bird. The Weequay pirate, Hondo Ohnaka tried to steal the creature for himself but was stopped. Hondo also freed all the other endangered creatures on the ship leading the Spectres to freeing them too.^[2]
