Republic Scout Service or Republic Scouting Service,[1] was an exploration organization funded by the Old Republic, succeeding the Republic Astrogation Survey Team of c.4000 BBY. They maintained extensive databanks of information on all known planets, colonies, and space stations in the Republic Scout Service Database. At the Declaration of a New Order, it was most likely converted into the Imperial Survey Corps.
Halka Four-Den, who disappeared on a expedition to the planet Dagobah, was a member of the Republic Scout Service.[1]
As a former member of the Scout Service, Mal Biron preferred to dress in khaki, the color of its field uniform.
