Regretter's Rock was the name of a habitable asteroid where, for several centuries prior to the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, spacers often wound up marooned.[1] By 3643 BBY,[2] a pirate had become among the number of castaways marooned on the asteroid.[1]
Around that year, an individual associated with one of the two opposing governments in the Cold War sent a companion of theirs to Regretter's Rock to investigate what else might have been left there. The companion encountered the pirate, who agreed to lead them to his treasure in exchange for passage off Regretter's Rock.[1]
Behind the scenes
Regretter's Rock was mentioned in BioWare's 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic in the Crew Skill mission "Crime Doesn't Pay." The information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

Star Wars: The Old Republic — Scavenging Crew Skill mission: "Crime Doesn't Pay"
- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Crime Doesn't Pay" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
