Redundancy was a sector within the Galactic Empire's Imperial Bureau of Standards.[1] In 5 BBY,[2] the corporate functionary[3] Flob interviewed Syril Karn, a potential employee, at the bureau's office on the planet Coruscant. During the interview, Flob acknowledged that Redundancy or the Verification sector might not look like as much of a vibrant arena as the Weights and Gauges sector, but that any lifetime employee of the bureau would agree with him that the institution had no small roles.[1]
