The Raquish system was a part of the Lambda sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It shared its name with the Battle of Raquish, which was fought in 39 BBY and pitted the Spiverelda, the group of worlds colonized by the Aqualish species and being under the influence of[3] the Aqualish homeworld, Ando,[4] against[3] the fifteen Aqualish-settled planets known as the Andoan Free Colonies.[5] The Raquish system was also the namesake of the Treaty of Raquish, which regulated the use of military forces by the Andoan Free Colonies in the aftermath of[6] the Battle of Raquish, and the Raquish Thoroughfare roadway in Ando's Quantill City.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Raquish system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-15.[2]
