Rainbow starwood was a type of wood that could be used to make furniture. During the High Republic Era, Nihil General Abediah Viess had an office in her manor on the planet Sarumo that was furnished with a desk made of the wood.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] Jedi Master Porter Engle snuck into the office and noticed the desk's starwood—inlaid with gemstones—and felt that the room's ornate detailing represented the trappings of wealth.[1]
Behind the scenes
Rainbow starwood appeared in the 2024 novel Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]
