RX-23[2] was an RX-series pilot droid who operated during the Galactic Civil War. At one point, the droid flew a GX1 short hauler from Iego, but the ship was hijacked by R2-D2 to fly to Gallios to find and recruit 0-0-0 for D-Squad.[1]

Behind the scenes

RX-23 appeared, albeit unidentified, in the current Star Wars canon in Dark Droids: D-Squad 1, written by Marc Guggenheim[1] and released on September 20, 2023.[3] Guggenheim later revealed the droid's name on Twitter.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, RX-23 was a droid that could be found at the entrance queue in the Tokyo Disneyland version of the ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.[4]
