The R-9X heavy laser cannon was a type of laser cannon manufactured by Gyrhil. Slayn & Korpil's B-wing starfighter[1] and the Tenloss Syndicate's Hornet-class interceptors incorporated R-9X heavy laser cannons as part of their weapons systems. With modifications, the R-9X heavy laser cannon could be upgraded, overcharging them to deal twice the amount of damage. However, this came at the cost of them momentarily overheating. R-9X's installed on Hornet-class interceptors were upgraded in that manner.[2]
