The quetarra was a Zabrak musical instrument that had eight strings and mutiple holes. The mad genetic terrorist Zeta Magnus received a double-necked quetarra as payment for assisting in the cybernetic reconstruction of a corniculate half-bot.[1] Zan Yant played one in the casino at Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7 on Drongar in 20 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes
A double-necked quetarra.
In a forum post on the Jedi Council Forums, SkyeWalkers author Abel G. Peña revealed that the intended identity of the corniculate half-bot Zeta Magnus reconstructed and received a quetarra as payment from was Darth Maul. This double-necked quetarra he received is a reference to the double-necked electric guitar Darth Maul plays in Randy Martinez's "Sith Rocks" illustration created for Star Wars Celebration IV.[3]
