Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A horned cyborg was reconstructed by the mad genetic terrorist Zeta Magnus. Magnus exacted a double-necked eight-string quetarra and the rights to an alias as payment for his services.^[1]

Behind the scenes

In a forum post on the Jedi Council Forums, SkyeWalkers author Abel G. Peña revealed that the intended identity of the cyborg is Darth Maul. The cyborg's description as a "corniculate half-bot" is a reference to Darth Maul's appearance with cybernetic legs and longer horns in the Star Wars: Visionaries comic Old Wounds. The double-necked quetarra Zeta Magnus receives as payment is a reference to the double-necked electric guitar Darth Maul plays in Randy Martinez's "Sith Rocks" illustration created for Star Wars Celebration IV. The alias Zeta Magnus took from the cyborg is intended to be K'am'ir Zaarin, a reference to Darth Maul's alleged birthname "Khameir Sarin" that was supposedly cut from English literary material for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but was rumored to be preserved in versions written in other languages.^[2]
