Publitechnic was a droid manufacturer active in the galaxy[1] by 22 BBY.[2] It produced repair droids like the CLE-004 window cleaning droid and INS-444. Both equipped with repulsorlifts, CLE-004s worked to clean windows, while INS-444s replaced windows that lacked integrity[1] or were broken.[3] Working together, CLE-004s and INS-444s became important to the upkeep and cleaning of the infrastructure in cities across the galaxy.[1] Even the Galactic Republic's capital planet Coruscant came to use[3] the Publitechnic produced droids.[1]

Behind the scenes

Publitechnic was mentioned within canon through the Droid Directory section of the magazine Star Wars: Build Your Own R2-D2 38, which was published by De Agostini in 2017.[1]
