- "And this... is your enemy proximity warning indicator. Hang on, kid, we got pirates."
- ―Din Djarin, to Grogu
A proximity sensor
Proximity sensors,[2] also known as a proximity alarm, a proximity radar,[3] alarm sensors,[4] or enemy proximity warning indicator,[1] identified approaching ships, such as the sensors that could be observed by the crew on the bridges of Venator-class Star Destroyers,[5] or life-forms, such as the sensors installed in MSE-6 series repair droids.[2]
The blue proximity sensor in Din Djarin's N-1 starfighter used Futhork characters, which said "SYSTEMS ONLINE • TURBO BOOST ENACTED[1] • LIFE SUPPORT ACTIVE."[6] When Din Djarin left Nevarro, the sensor turned red when Gorian Shard's pirate gang showed up, although for reasons unknown, the entire image was mirror-inverted.[1]
