A MR-90 proton rifle
Proton rifles were a powerful long-range variant of blaster rifles. While regular blaster rifles used XCiter technology and volatile tibanna gas to create blasts of plasma, proton rifles used baradium-fed particle accelerators to create densely charged particle beams. Proton rifles were originally designed for big-game hunting, but could be used by military forces. Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. produced one such weapon, the MR-90 proton rifle.[1]
