An Anzat uses his proboscises on Quinlan Vos.
A proboscis (plural proboscises) was an extensible tubular sucking organ. The Anzati possessed two prehensile proboscises that they kept coiled in their cheek pockets. They used those appendages to consume the brain matter of their victims, which they referred to as "the soup."[1]
