Prickly root was a rare plant with a spiky outer shell that grew in the deserts of the planet Tatooine. Members of the bantha species were partial to eating prickly roots, which they considered a treat, although the plant's shell had to be removed before consumption. Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts Director of Creature Cartography Ardis San Tekka mentioned prickly roots while writing about banthas in her journal[1] at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY.[2]
