The Praelions were a bipedal humanoid sentient species that were distinguished by their dark skin that was covered in a series of uniformed bumps, as well as a slightly enlarged cranium, pointed ears, and dark and light hair.[1]

By 132 BBY,[3] a member of this species, Axut Klem, served as a senator for the Japrael sector.[2]

The Praelions species made their debut in the eighth episode of the 2024 television series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, directed by Hanelle M. Culpepper.[1] Their name was revealed within the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide[2] which released in select countries on June 5, 2025.[4]
