Rey was one of the captives who was restrained in a First Order interrogation chair equipped with an articulated restraint plastron.
A plastron was a piece of articulated restraint technology that was part of the interrogation chairs used by Kylo Ren and the First Order to interrogate and often torture captives on the Finalizer and on Starkiller Base.[1][2]
EV-series supervisor droids' key areas were protected with low-quality plastron plating that was cheap to replace when damaged.[3]
