Pipa birds were a species of bird native to the planet Batuu. Their calls could be heard from within Black Spire Outpost or in the forests after sunrise[2]. Some residents of Batuu raised pipa birds to be pets or for other reasons.[1]
Behind the scenes
Pipa birds were created for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened to guests at Disneyland on May 31, 2019. While not physically present in the park, sound clips of the birds' calls can be heard in certain areas.[1]
