Pickled cushnip was a type of food that could be made with cushnip and found on the Outer Rim planet Valo.[1] In 231 BBY,[2] the human Jedi Master Stellan Gios expressed his intent to have some pickled cushnip on Valo to the Tholothian[1] Jedi Knight[3] Indeera Stokes as both Jedi were headed to the world for the upcoming Republic Fair. In response, Stokes jokingly rebutted that she doubted the dish was better than the food they had enjoyed on the astronomical object Theros Major.[1]

Pickled cushnip was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[4]
