- "Certainly, after Tarkin's death, the academies on Eriadu and Phelarion became home to a great number of the children of Coruscant's wealthy elite, who wanted the honor attached to Tarkin's memory and reputation but who displayed none of his military instinct."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
An Imperial Academy was located on[1] the Outer Rim[2] astronomical object Phelarion during the reign of the Galactic Empire. After Imperial Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin perished during the Battle of Yavin[1] in 0 BBY,[3] many of the children of the wealthy elite of the Imperial capital, Coruscant, were sent to the academy by their families, who hoped to claim some of the honor attached to Tarkin's reputation and memory. The historian Beaumont Kin claimed the Coruscanti students lacked Tarkin's military instinct in[1] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1] in 35 ABY.[5]
Behind the scenes
The Imperial Academy on Phelarion was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
