The Personal Defense Emporium was a commodities establishment on the planet Coruscant that sold food, water, generators, and weapons. Not long into the Galactic Empire's reign,[1] around 19 BBY,[2] the store held an interplanetary raffle as a promotion for their customers, with prizes of tickets to[1] the planet[3] Quermia, the world Alsakan, and[1] the astronomical object[4] Lianna. During the protests on Coruscant during Separatist Reintegration Day—which marked the return of formerly Separatist worlds into the Imperial Senate—an announcer encouraged passersby to stock up on essential goods at the Personal Defense Emporium. As Senator Mon Mothma walked through Coruscant's lower levels, she heard the announcement via loudspeaker.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Personal Defense Emporium was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]
