"You'll have to come with me. It's the only way I know I can keep you safe."
"Exactly! We're a team now, Qui-Go!"
Qui-Gon Jinn and Peroka[1]

Peroka was a child who lived in the arboreal city of Müch on the planet Cerosha.[1] At some point after 58 BBY,[2] Peroka found themself confronted by a massive beast they called a "Snatcher." The youth was rescued by a Jedi Knight known as Qui-Gon Jinn, who Peroka referred to as "Qui-Go." Peroka informed the Jedi of the series of mysterious disappearances of children from Müch over the preceding week and joined the Jedi on his investigation into the Snatcher attacks.[1]

When Qui-Gon trailed a Snatcher to the creature's nest, Peroka secretly followed to a cave entrance from which it seemed a boulder had been moved in order to open. Qui-Gon reluctantly allowed the youth to join him in entering what turned out to be the ruins of a Brotherhood of the Ninth Door temple. Within the ruins they encountered the Brother of the Ninth Door Minakatso, who had opened the temple and was trapped by Snatchers, truly named Slovars, who were nesting inside. After freeing him, Peroka heard the rumblings of the Slovar Queen and other Slovars approaching and was instructed by Qui-Gon to hide. Confused to why the Jedi aligned with a dark-sider to fight the Slovars and allowed him to flee, Qui-Gon explained to Peroka the complexities of people's choices.[1]
