Permacite was a compound substance made of permex and a variety of light-reactive minerals. It was stronger than normal permex and was commonly used as a building material in structures that were expected to endure a high level of stress.
The shell of Kuat Drive Yards' v-150 Planet Defender planetary ion cannon was constructed of permacite.[1]
