The Perkell sector was a sector located within the Mid Rim. The sector's capital was located on Trancret.[4]

The sector largely consisted of a string of unimportant industrial planets strung along an offshoot of the Perlemian Trade Route; in turns the industrial planets are connected to clusters of agricultural and mining planets.[4]

The Gromas system became briefly notable when phrikite deposites were discovered on its moons, bringing some exploring and prospecting activity. It was then confiscated by the Imperial. During the Dark Trooper Project, warships were seen on the sector's lanes for some time, as Gromas was the center of their phrikite mining. That was until their facility on Gromas 16 was sabotaged and the Project ended, allowing prospectors to return to Gromas.[4]

The GromasMines Cooperative was established to resolve the new claims to the Gromas moons. Its operations brought a new wave of prosperity for the sector.[4]

The Perkell Sector Mining Fleecing was pulled off by the Red & Black League of Herstell V.
