- "If you shred 'em up, gloomroots make the foundation of a lovely pancake. I like to add in some other root veg to enhance the sweetness and add a bit of color."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook
Pancakes were a type of flat, cooked food that could be served as a side dish. The Gloomroot Pancake was made using shredded gloomroot, a tuber from the planet Kashyyyk. The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs liked to add other root vegetables when making Gloomroot Pancakes in order to enhance the sweetness and color of the dish, which was brown. Tuggs included a recipe for Gloom Pancakes in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, at some point after publishing his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY,[2]
Flatcakes were a type of pancakes[3] that were usually served as a breakfast food.[4]
