Pain pulsers were a kind of torture device. After his capture during the Battle of Devaron, battle droids used pain pulsers in conjunction with mind limiters and the drug X-C33 on Jedi Master Bolla Ropal.[1]

Behind the scenes

Pain pulsers were first mentioned in canon in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars second season episode "Cargo of Doom," which aired in 2009.[1]
