The P421 ion actuator was a prototype blaster component that enhanced the explosive power of ion projectiles. It was inspired by the destructive power of the Sayma Nebula in the Khepi system.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the Miyuki Trade League had acquired an actuator and was willing to sell it to a privileged customer for 1650 credits.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess was informed about the blaster component and later purchased it from Jagra's Shop aboard Hauler's Keep. The actuator is available to purchase after Kay earns the Miyuki Trade League Signet. She later used it to modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's ion module.[1]
Behind the scenes
P421 ion actuator first appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3] The player must successfully complete a number of smuggling contracts for the Miyuki Trade League before they are given access to purchase the part which allows them to upgrade the shock ion module to level four.[1]
