Ortugg's Letter Home" is a short narrative story published in
The Star Wars Sourcebook in
1987. Written in the form of a letter home,
Ortugg the
Gamorrean recounts his experiences in
Jabba's court. It was reprinted in the
second edition of the book in
1994.
Plot summary
The Gamorrean Ortugg writes a letter home to Venorra about his time working for Jabba the Hutt. He recounts the many wonderful opportunities afforded to him as a member of Jabba's court, including killing prisoners, living in vermin-infested quarters, and having the honor of being injured by the Rancor.[1]
Continuity
The Star Wars Sourcebook spells Ortugg's name correctly within the letter, but "Orrtug" in its title.
