The Ord Sabaok system was located in the Core Worlds[1] and the Southern Core regions.[2] It contained the world Ord Sabaok,[3] which served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic during the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY, despite it being located outside the borders of Republic space. Around that time, a hyperlane connected Ord Sabaok to the Giju system.[5]

By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the world was orbited by Imperial Star Destroyers and was the place of residence of the Human Rebel spy Barthalemew Windsloe, who gathered information from the Empire to send to the Alliance while at the world.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Ord Sabaok system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square J-13.[1]
