- "I have one last introduction to make: This is Lieutenant Aric Jorgan, an operations officer from the Republic's Ord Mantell Infantry Command."
- ―Havoc Squad Commander Harron Tavus introduces a new squad member
Ord Mantell Infantry Command was a military organization in the army of the Galactic Republic active on the Mid Rim planet Ord Mantell during the Cold War between the Republic and reconstituted Sith Empire.
History
- "Now, the reason we're all here: A Republic transport, carrying among its cargo a ZR-57 orbital strike bomb, crashed in northern Avilatan six days ago. Recovery unit sent a team, but they were too late. Separatist forces had already stolen the transport's cargo, including the ZR-57, and fled."
- ―Commander Tavus briefs a new squad member on a mission
During the Separatist War between the Galactic Republic and Mantellian Separatist Movement on the planet Ord Mantell in 3643 BBY,[3] Infantry Command was assigned to search for and recover a ZR-57 orbital strike bomb on the island of Avilatan that had been stolen by local separatist forces. Because the Republic Army's elite Havoc Squad was assigned a similar mission, Infantry Command operations officer Lieutenant Aric Jorgan coordinated the activities of both units from the command center at Fort Garnik.[1]
Members
General Vander
- "You must be our last loyal Havoc member. I'm General Vander, Republic chief of operations for Ord Mantell. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."
- ―Gen. Vander greets a Havoc Squad member
Gen. Vander.
Republic Army General Vander was the head of Infantry Command and chief of operations for the Republic on Ord Mantell in 3643 BBY. After the defection of most the members of Havoc Squad to the Sith Empire, Vander was compelled by his superiors to demote Lieutenant Jorgan and remove him from his post. To compensate Jorgan, Vander assigned him as the newest member of Havoc Squad.[2] Later that year, Vander contacted Jorgan to offer him reinstatement to his old post, a promotion, and command of operations on Ord Mantell, though Jorgan declined the offer and remained in Havoc Squad.[4] In 3637 BBY,[5] Vander had since departed Infantry Command and led Republic military forces to victory in the liberation of the planet Altair 9.[6]
Lieutenant Aric Jorgan
- "General, with all due respect, how can you do this? I've served with your Infantry Command for years."
- ―Lieutenant Aric Jorgan protests his demotion to General Vander following Havoc Squad's defection
Lt. Aric Jorgan.
By 3643 BBY, Jorgan had already served in Ord Mantell Infantry Command for some years.[2] In that year, he was assigned as an operations officer in Infantry Command and was tasked with coordinating the efforts of his unit and Havoc Squad to recover the stolen ZR-57 bomb.[1] Following the defection of Havoc Squad, he was removed from his post and assigned to the unit.[2] He eventually ascended to the rank of Major and became commander of Havoc Squad.[7]
Behind the scenes
Ord Mantell Infantry Command received a few direct mentions in the Republic Trooper class story on Ord Mantell in the 2011 BioWare-LucasArts video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1]

STAR WARS: The Old Republic - Question ! :) - Page 3 on The Old Republic's official website (backup link) places Star Wars: The Old Republic about ten to twelve years after the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant, which is dated to 3653 BBY by Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia. The Old Republic — The Lost Suns 2 takes place ten years after the treaty, one week after the mission to Nar Shaddaa, and around the time of the SpecForce Incident. Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of the Prologue and Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY.
