Ooroo was a male Jedi Master whose existence was mentioned in the legendary Qel-Droma Epics. According to the myths, Ooroo managed the Jedi Praxeum on the planet Ossus, training the Jedi Odan-Urr there. Ooroo was involved in the Great Hyperspace War against the Sith Empire, but died during the conflict.[1]
The Ooroo Canyon, a supposed location on Ossus, shared its name with the Jedi Master. Upon the canyon, Odan-Urr oversaw the construction of the Great Jedi Library to honor a promise to Ooroo.[1]

In the new Star Wars canon, Ooroo was first mentioned in Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game.[1] In the Star Wars Legends, Ooroo first appeared in the comic Tales of the Jedi – The Golden Age of the Sith 0, written by Kevin J. Anderson, penciled by Dario Carrasco, Jr., and published by Dark Horse Comics[2] on July 1, 1996.[3]
