"I was planning on giving you this after I made a few more modifications. But, uh, now's as good a time as any."
"An energy crossbow. Where did you get it?"
"Well, I've made a few interesting contacts across the galaxy."
"It's perfect. Thank you, Echo."
―Echo gifts Omega the energy crossbow[1]

Omega's energy crossbow[2] was a modified energy crossbow used by the clone Omega after it was gifted by her clone companion Echo[1] around 18 BBY,[3] who had acquired it from one of his many contacts from his work with the Clone Underground. The energy crossbow fired green energy bolts[1] and could easily fold away for travel, as it was more compact then Omega's previous weapon, a Zygerrian energy bow.[2] The weapon was also equipped with a scope and a foregrip.[1] Shortly after she was gifted the weapon, Omega wielded it while she and her squad, Clone Force 99, attempted to escape from Imperial forces on[4] the planet[5] Teth.[4]

Behind the scenes

Omega's energy crossbow first appeared simultaneously in the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episodes "Infiltration"[1] and "Extraction,"[4] the sixth and seventh episodes of the animated television series' third season, which premiered on March 13, 2024.[6] It was later identified in the Databank on StarWars.com.[2] The energy crossbow was later added into the EA Capital Games video game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, which originally released in 2015,[7] alongside the character Omega (Fugitive) on January 14, 2025.[8]

  3. Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least twenty-one standard days following her capture as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to StarWars.com "Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega spends about 164 further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY.
