A nut-paste sandwich was a type of sandwich that was edible by the Chiss species.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] on sky-walker navigator Che'ri's first day aboard the Chiss heavy cruiser Springhawk, her caregiver, Mitth'ali'astov, core name "Thalias," considered making her a nut-paste sandwich. While the young girl did not care what her caregiver made for her, Thalias hoped she liked nut-paste sandwiches.[1]

Nut-paste sandwiches were mentioned in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first installment of the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy written by Timothy Zahn.[1]
