Non-visual composite radiation sensors,[1] also known simply as Radiation Sensors,[2] were a type of specialized sensors commonly used in droideka droids. Unlike traditional photoreceptors, the small red composite radiation sensors were more effective, precise, and less likely to be distracted and hampered by light-based effects.[1]
