The Nirauan system was a star system located in Wild Space, in grid square I-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
Nirauan was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the galactic map included in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game,[2] an August 2016[3] Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying boxed set.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Nirauan first appeared in the 1997 novel Specter of the Past, written by Timothy Zahn,[4] and it was first visually depicted in the 2000 reference book The Essential Chronology.[5]
