- "General, engage the new and improved Clone-amatic!"
"With pleasure!" - ―Dooku, ordering Grievous to activate the new and improved Clone-amatic
A new and improved Clone-amatic was a cloning device used by the Sith Lord Count Dooku and General Grievous[1] in 21 BBY.[2] After its predecessor, the Clone-amatic 11-38, had failed to successfully clone Jek-14—instead producing a defective clone, Jek 15—it was replaced with the new and improved Clone-amatic, which was utilized by Dooku and Grievous to commence the creation of their Sith clone trooper army after they kidnapped the rogue Jek-14. Like its predecessor, it had transparent pods used to transfer genetic material, as well as blue platforms with a screen indicating cloning progress. It also had a ramp leading to the pod that contained the template subject. In an improvement to its predecessor, it utilized three rotating pods to output cloned subjects, producing clones at a faster rate, and none of whom were defective. However, it still significantly weakened the subject used as the template. It also had a Bibble UP dispenser built into its control panel.[1]
