A neutron star was a type of compact star. They had a very strong gravitational pull. A neutron star that emitted powerful radiation was known as pulsar. The Oolex pulsar was an example of a neutron star.[1]

The transponder signal of the Cosinga-class Heavy Corvette Imperialis mimicked that of a neutron star to ensure the corvette evaded detection, and to confuse anyone who attempted to locate and target the starship.[3]
