- "I should get a pet. Something big that can get up on my shoulder. Like a gaja bird or a neevlin."
- ―A member of the Rokana Raiders
A neevlin was a type of creature that could be kept as a pet. While guarding the Khepi Tomb[1] in 3 ABY,[2] a humanoid member of the Rokana Raiders pondered out loud about getting a neevlin or a gaja bird as a pet, wanting something large enough to climb on their shoulder.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, a neevlin was mentioned in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which released on May 15, 2025.[3] The creatures originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were mentioned in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Galactic Campaign Guide, which was written by Peter M. Schweighofer and J.D. Wiker and published by Wizards of the Coast.[4]
