Navigation buoys,[1] also known as hyperspace buoys,[3] or marker buoys,[4] were objects used to map out hyperspace routes.[1] Tobias Beckett and his gang once fixed up one such device from the days of the Old Republic, used it to lure an Imperial replenishment fleet into the Llon Shoals, and then drained the fuel for resale.[2]
