Nava spiders were a type of predatory spider found on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] E'ronoh. According to Zenny Greylark, a human native of E'ronoh, nava spiders sat in their webs waiting for food to happen by their webs.[1]
In 228 BBY,[3] during the High Republic Era, Greylark was reminded of the spiders when she saw the droid CD-2 in the communications hub of the Jedi Temple on[1] the Core Worlds[2] planet Coruscant with communications cables running from CD-2's chest to multiple devices around the room. Greylark mentally noted that instead of waiting for a tasty snack like the nava spiders, the droid was waiting for important messages.[1]
Behind the scenes
Nava spiders were mentioned in the 2025 junior novel The High Republic: A Valiant Vow, written by Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]

As The High Republic: A Valiant Vow takes place nearly two years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
