"Calculate a jump for Nanth'ri, Artoo!"
―Luke Skywalker, to his astromech droid R2-D2, in the Exodeen system[4]

The Nanth'ri Trade Route, or simply the Nanth'ri Route, was a trade route that intersected ran between the Colonies' Exodeen system and the Mid Rim's Nanth'ri system. After leaving the planet Denon for the Outer Rim world Omereth, the Desert Jewel along the Hydian Way to the planet Exodeen and from there it was to take the Nanth'ri Route to Nanth'ri that eventually would offer several different ways to reach Omereth.

Description

The Nanth'ri Trade Route[4] also known as just the Nanth'ri Route,[2] was a hyperspace route that went from Exodeen a planet,[4] in the Exodeen system of the Colonies region that was along the Hydian Way[9] super-hyperroute,[10] and Nanth'ri,[4] an astronomical object in the Nanth'ri system of the Mid Rim Territories.[9]

In the Colonies, the route drew from Exodeen and to the celestial body Quellor,[9] a junction with the Quellor Run.[8] The Nanth'ri Trade Route then went into the Inner Rim Territories and reached[9] the Prindaar system[5] gas giant[11] Antar and then the astronomical object Lonera. Passing into the Expansion Region, the hyperspace route passed by the celestial body Gyndine,[9] the planet[12] Kerev Doi,[9] the planet Mimban of the Circarpous system,[5] the planet[13] Batuv,[9] and the astronimical object Attahox.[14] After, the Nanth'ri Route passed through[7] the world[15] Daiyu[7] then reached the Mid Rim Territories and Nanth'ri.[9] In it's journey, the route entered the Quellor sector, where Quellor was located, and the Circarpous sector, where Gyndine and Mimban were situated.[3]

History

"Artoo, when we get to Nanth'ri, begin calculating a jump that will take us through Hutt Space. If you can do a jump all the way across it without stopping, that would probably be the best."
―Skywalker, to R2-D2[4]

In 0 ABY,[16] the Rebel Alliance operatives Luke Skywalker and Nakari Kelen rescued the givin cryptologist Drusil Bephorin from the Galactic Empire's custody on the[4] Inner Rim[9] planet Denon. The pair's mission was to bring Bephorin to the[4] Outer Rim Territories[9] planet Omereth aboard their starship, the Desert Jewel, to reunite the givin with her family. Skywalker and Kelen planned to reach the Nanth'ri Trade Route at Exodeen via the Hydian Way and travel to Nanth'ri along the former hyperspace route, offering more travel options to Omereth after.[4]

The Desert Jewel reached the Exodeen system, jumping into hyperspace soon after after it detected several Imperial starships, including a Star Destroyer and heavy cruiser in the system. The Jewel then continued along the Nanth'ri Trade Route to the Nanth'ri system, skipping past five planets in between. When they reached the Nanth'ri system, however, they were attacked by a small fleet of pirates. The ' Desert Jewel was able to ward them off and escape, travelling along a new route that passed the Daalang system.[4]
